Lantern Festival

At BYU I majored in Experience Management. We were all about creating memorable experiences that can last a lifetime. The Lantern Festival was one of the coolest events I've ever been to. It literally took my breath away. When 7,000 lanterns were launched to the sky, I couldn't help but stop and wonder in awe.

I had a blast hanging out with my sister and friends. We met up in the parking lot and took the little train down to the entrance. It was all very smooth and a easy process to get it. We got out s'mores kit and lantern and we were off to find a spot. After finding one of the tons of communal firepits, we set up camp. It was a lot of fun decorating the lanterns and roasting s'mores. I honestly wish we would have got their earlier because it was so relaxing and fun! After the sun went down, the staff got everyone ready to light their lanterns. Unfortunately it took us a bit longer to light the lanterns but we all got to go one at a time. Everyone was launching them periodically over the next 15 minutes and it was so cool to watch them drift away. We couldn't help but watch all of them drift away. It was the perfect night. I can't wait to go next year!
