It can be overwhelming trying to keep up with the never-ending changes in social media. The Facebook trials have seemingly overshadowed some new and exciting changes to their sister company, Instagram. Even though these changes aren't as much in the limelight, you definitely won't want to sleep on them!
Here are 3 new updates to Instagram you'll want to use:
- Upload multiple photos and videos to your story at the same time: This will blow your mind. This update allows you to select up to 10 photos or videos to upload to your story. This will also allow you to preview your story before posting it, which we know will be a life-saver for all you perfectionists! All you have to do is swipe up in your stories camera and click on the new icon in the top right corner. As of the time this is posted, this will only be available for Android users, but don't fret iOS users, this update will become available to you as well in the upcoming weeks!
- Instagram Stories location suggestions: Let's say you had the most beautiful and delicious ice cream sundae you've ever had. You decide you want to post it to your story, but you forgot the name of the restaurant! With Instagram Stories' new location suggestion feature, when you add location stickers to your media it'll suggest places nearby where the picture or video was taken, that way you can still find that restaurant with the amazing sundae! This is another update only available on Android as of right now, but iOS won't be far behind!
- Clickable links in bio: Whenever you add an "@" or a "#" before your text, it'll and work as a live link in your bio. This is a major help in getting your profile higher traffic! Let's say you have a personal Instagram page and a business page . In the bio on your personal profile you can "@" your business page, and it'll send your followers to check out your business! Wanting to reach a wider audience? On your business page, add a hashtag in your on what your business is all about (e.g. if you sell backpacks, try #backpacks), whenever someone searches that hashtag your content will pop up!
